그대의 파레트를 파란색과 회색으로 색칠하고
여름날 밖을 내다 보세요

미풍과 겨울의 한기를 색체로 표현하세요

온전한 영혼을 유지하기 위해 당신이 얼마나 고통받았는지를

별이 총총한 밤이에요
불꽃처럼 밝게 타오르는 꽃들
보랏빛 안개속에 소용돌이 치는 구름들
빈센트의 청잣빛 푸른 눈에 어리네요
색조를 바꾸는 물감
황갈색 곡식의 아침 들판
고통으로 주름진 지친 얼굴들은
화가의 사랑스런 손길로 위로를 받아요
이제 나는 알 수 있어요
당신이 내게 무엇을 말하려고 했는지
온전한 영혼을 유지하기 위해 당신이 얼마나 고통받았는지를
그들을 자유롭게 하기 위해 당신이 얼마나 노력을 했는지
아무도 들으려 하지 않았어요 방법도 몰랐고요
지금은 들으려 할지는 모르겠지만
허나 당신을 사랑할 수 없었죠
하지만 당신의 사랑은 진실했어요
내면에 아무런 희망도 남지 않은
별빛이 촘촘했던 그날 밤

당신이 만났던 낯선 이들과
누더기 차림의 남루한 사람들처럼
새빨간 장미의 은빛 가시
순결한 눈 위에서 거짓은 부서져 버리죠
이제는 알 것 같아요
내게 하려 했던 말들을
온전한 영혼을 위한 고통과
그들을 자유롭게 하기 위해 들인 노력을
아무도 들으려 하지 않았죠, 아직도 들으려 하지 않아요
